Eat Your Way To Healthy Skin

Do you have dry, rough or flaky skin? Well there are plenty of ways you can improve and hydrate your complexion - one of which is to have a healthy diet, rich in vitamins and anti-oxidants. You are sure to see and feel the difference after just a few weeks of incorporating these healthy foods into your diet.

If you don't want to change your diet and you would rather use cosmetics to improve your skin, then we recommend using body butter or a rich lotion. Body butter takes much longer to soak in, compared to regular moisturiser, so you might have to wait a while before you get dressed or sit on the sofa. If you've had a stressful day at work, then this is the ideal opportunity for you to enjoy some chill out time. You could rub in some body butter, and while it soaks in, you could relax and use your mini foot spa, play a game of FoxyBingo or paint your nails. However, this skin care routine may not suit you if you have a busy lifestyle, so you might prefer to try and incorporate healthy foods (which are high in vitamins and anti-oxidants) into your diet instead. Here are some great foods which help promote healthy skin.

Berries - Blueberries, strawberries and raspberries are fantastic for your skin as they are high in vitamins and anti-oxidants. They will help give you naturally glowing cheeks, so you may not even need to use your blusher!

Spinach - Spinach is very high in iron which is excellent for your skin. Iron deficiency leads to pale and flaky skin, as well as brittle hair and nails. You can steer clear of these symptoms by eating spinach a couple of times a week in a salad.

Avocado - This super food is high in potassium as well as being rich in vitamin E and vitamin K. More than half of the calories in an avocado come from good fats. These fats help to seep out your natural skin oils, which keeps your skin hydrated and soft.
